I am not even going to say how utterly disorganised my (our, beloveds included) books are, I am literally too ashamed! Suffice to say they adorn every shelf, clear floor space and empty surface and I'm scared to look upstairs in the attic!
Our non-fiction books are all shelved by subject. Fiction is shelved alphabetically by author. Biography/autobiog is shelved alphabetically by subject surname. Current reads are by the bed. TBR pile is in the dining room - 2 piles, fiction and non-fiction, each in purchase order. Non-keeping books are in the dining room in. a neat pile until I have enough to box up and send for selling/recycling. (I AM a Virgo).
I love you, but I'm sorry...TBRs in multiple places? I cannot. Also, floor books...you might be my mother's true daughter.

But! If you did check the attic, you could write a post about exploring the attic. Attics seem so cool. We've never had one that was usable.
