That is truly beautiful Jenn and an enviable place to be so well known... and for so long too!🙏🏽🍂

I always hope the trees know we care. It always sounds so woo woo, but it’s nice to know you’re appreciated and I hope somehow they all know we do.

What a special thing to have such a place where generations before you have walked. My family is one that has moved generationally. The land where I am is rich with stories, stories I connect to, but they are not the stories of people in my actual family.

I don’t think it has to be about time. I think there are just people who are called to places. Who are *of* places in a way that can be hard to describe. I think there is more to it than familiarity or family. I think it’s magnificent that you have places that you can be from/be of. Sometimes it’s magical to be in this painful world. You can hold the beauty of life and the tragedy of life all in one.

That is true. I knew the very first time that I stepped foot in San Francisco that it was my soulmate place. I'm lucky to have found it.

Ah, I love this, the observations you note are wonderful, as is that deep connection to the land. Thank you for sharing it with me (and everyone!).
